This week HexaPunk returns with their review of the Sony MZ-R50 recorder! I personally find his style entertaining and it captures my attention and keeps it. This week's review comes with little 'Eye-Candy' as they have chosen to encourage for you to view their photos on the Wiki, which they were a contributor on from the Wiki's earliest stages of development. Welcome to another installment of MDMonday! This week, Eddie Chan returns as well as another go at the E900, previously reviewed by Steve W. aka SithLord. We welcome both, as this little player is as amazing now as it was when released!
It is revered by its users for compactness, lightness, and long lasting battery life with sidecar 100+ hours! Please enjoy another lap with this beauty!
Welcome Back to HighFidelity1989!
HighFidelity1989 graces MDCon's site with another wonderful review this time on the glorious Kenwood DMC-S33. It is a standout like most Kenwoods and HighFidelity1989 does another wonderful job in its review! (click on title for full text)
This week's article and this intro was faxed to me on Dōmo-kun stationery by Japan-based Reddit and Discord member EmmDeez. He was on the ground as a freelance host in Kabukicho and occasionally Susukino during the heyday of MD, and says he still has purikura with questionable hairstyles of those times – think Final Fantasy-esque. I've known him since joining the MD Discord server at the beginning of 2023, and he's set me up with some hard-to-find discs for my collection as well as VHS recordings of SMAPxSMAP. Welcome to the first MDMonday installment for May 2025! This week's review is the first for a Victor player in the series. The review is by Theo (Anemone) who is a trusted contact in one of the MiniDisc communities I frequent. I do hope that you enjoy this weeks review of Japan Victor Corporation's (JVC) flashy little player!
See you in Coventry, UK if you can make it next Sunday at the MDCon Road Show U.K.!
Hello and welcome to this week's installment of the MDMonday review series! Our reviewer this week is Sir68k of the RH1 display panel replacement project. He has contributed much to the MiniDisc World in making it relevant in today's environment.
MDCon would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has taken time out of their lives to create a review of their favorite or most interesting device. These reviews are placed here for the communities benefit.
MDCon is excited to welcome the return of Laurent Devaud in their review of the MZ-R5ST for this week's review!
The MZ-R5ST is an amazing combination of features for home and on the go use! We hope that you enjoy this in depth look at this amazing piece of MiniDisc technology!
Is there a doctor in the house? Say hello to my friend and yours, Dr. Scott, MD! Scott knows his way around the inside of a MiniDisc device! He's been intimate with the delicate parts of some of my devices, and they lived to tell the tale! And for that, I thank you Dr. Scott!
I hope you follow the link below to hear the checkup on one of Dr Scott's favorite devices, the E730! The nice thing about the clinic today is there is no waiting room today, just click right on through!
MDCon welcomes back HexaPunk this week for his review of the N710. I'm always entertained by his approach to the task of reviewing devices. I remember this device as it was purchased in the same order as a Burple R37 for me. We fired what I considered a full retail amount into the eBay abyss to a seller who promised a delivery time of over 30 days. Thankfully, both devices showed up in great shape and working order! We hope that you are entertained by this week's review! MZ-N710
